Water Filtration

Water filtration

Filtering and purifying are steps taken in the so-called pre-treatment of water. This is commonly performed when preparing water for industrial processes where the water needs to reach a certain level of purity. We offer a range of water filtration products and services including membrane filters and sand filters. With our services and expertise, you can improve your downstream operations while minimising the need for filter cleaning and maintenance.

Microfiltration involves passing water through a special pore-sized membrane to separate microorganisms and suspended particles from processed liquid.

Membrane filters remove all bacteria and some viral contaminants. Even though viruses are smaller than microfiltration membrane pores, they attach themselves to the bacterial biofilm and are removed along with the much larger bacteria. Microfiltration can be implemented in many different water treatment processes when particles with a diameter greater than 0.1 µm need to be removed from the water.

Microfiltration is typically used in conjunction with other separation processes such as ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis to provide water which is free of undesired contaminants.

Sand filters are used to remove suspended solids when purifying water. A filter aid is typically used with sand filters to increase colloidal particle size, which allows the larger particles to be trapped by the sand. Most solids can be removed using this type of filter. There is a number of different sand filters which can be used depending on your situation and needs.

Commercial reverse osmosis provides a high quality of water for a variety of uses, such as sea water desalination.Reverse osmosis is widely used in industries where high quality, low TDS water is required.

Ultrafiltration is an important water purification technique used for the production of high purity water. It’s effective in removing colloids, proteins, bacteria and organic molecules which are larger than 0.1-0.2 Micron in size.

Bag filtration technology can reduce sediments and contaminants in water and liquid applications. It is a cost effective method of filtration, and is also simple to maintain.

This filtration system is ideal for the reduction of bulk particulate from your water supplies, and bag filter elements are available in a range of materials and cover performances from 0.5 micron up to 800 microns.
